OVF field of view and bright lines - no bright lines, the electronic overlay does not stretch to the edge of the OVF, so they just have yellow arrows in the corners to show that the frame is at the edge of the OVF. The OVF appears to show 99% of the lens field of view, based on a quick test on their X-Pro1 today.
They again gave end of Jan as the in-store date for this lens - Fuji reps received their copies this week. |

Suggested that this may not be possible based on processor. But the reality was they didn't have a yes or no. They just didn't know. Possible as it's 'just software' was the best answer I got back.
Release dates for lenses? 10-24?
14mm Jan - 55-200 Spring 2013 - that was all they would say on dates.
Confirm number of lenses released in 2012?
10-12 total by end of year is the best answer I got
LAG on EVF X100s?
Looked minimal - but I haven't got my X100 to compare directly. From memory I'd say improved.
IQ X100 vs X-Pro1?
Should be 'very comparable' was the answer... I could not test as they are pre-production models, and they will not allow me to use my SD card in them
Future X-Pro1 & X-E1 firmware updates? What/When?
No new info on firmware updates
T&S 15mm Lens?
Blank stares when I mentioned this - no info on this and they seemed to know nothing about it
Stutter on EVF when locking AF with shutter half press?
Minimal - improved. The whole AF lock is now so fast that it's happened before you get a chance to really see any 'freeze' in the EVF/LCD.
X100S - does it have hard stops at infinity and minimum focus?
No - but the throw ratio has been doubled/halved - i.e. you only have to turn half as much to get from one end of focus to the other. Much easier to MF. |
